Daughter of the Blood
Daughter of the Blood is the first book of a trilogy, and I have no intention of running out to find the next two any time soon. It is a member of my least favorite genre: Fantasy As Fetish. I have discovered that visiting the library with a 7 month old is an adventure. The aisles are wide enough for a stroller, but not wide enough for someone else to navigate past it, so I leave it in the car. Holding her on one hip gives me better control over her position, but is harder on the back and leads to shorter library trips.
